The Ramp N Clamp Automatic Boat Latch Sport model, works on almost all fiberglass and a large majority of aluminum boats as well. (please check the compatibility page). Mounts on a 3′ – 4.5″ wide roller bracket. The sport works with a standard U bolt that is directly mounted to the boat and does not have a thick mounting bracket. See here . Ramp N Clamp Automatic Boat Latch Sport Model Description

The Automatic boat latch Sport Model is designed to work with a boat that has a standard U Bolt mounted directly to the boat and no thick brackets above it. This Sport Model should work on all compatible FIBERGLASS BOATS and a LARGE number of aluminum boats. The polyurethane on the clamp is engineered to fit snug around the eye of the boat. This creates the tightest fit between your eye and your boat. This tight fit design allows the least amount of play when loading and traveling. This design feature is critical when it comes to protecting a fiberglass boat. Having a loose fit or gap, will create pressure points or damaging wear points on the fiberglass. Our design helps to combat this issue and protect your boat.

All automatic boat latches by Ramp N Clamp are constructed of STAINLESS STEEL. Stainless steel helps prevent corrosion and rusting of the boat latch. To see all the details of this, please click the photo.

    My Son and I just installed on my trailer for my 21’ Triton, SF-21…took about 20 minutes…his idea was to keep the strap on, but let the boat float a couple feet…installed it on the ramp…then started the motor and drove it up to lock…works great!

    This product works extremely well. I put one on my Ranger trail along with the extended handle (option). I attached an S hook and used some ski rope and a carabiner clip and just pull the string from the driver’s seat and like magic, the boat slides right off the trailer. For guys like me that load and unload by themselves, this is perfect.

    I bought the sports model and it worked out fantastically. Very easy to install. I tried it out the first time the other day Floated my sixteen foot Bass tracker. And it released very easily. When I came back in I backed the trailer back in got in the Boat pull it up until it clicked. Very easily. And I didn’t get my feet wet.

    Just installed one on my boat. Haven’t used it yet but anti-theft locks and mechanism install easy and quick. If you give it a little thought, as long as you have two people, you can drop one of you to get in line, drive the boat away from the launch and when your turn comes, drive the boat on and pull away. That should speed up the the process at the launch line when you are coming and going, especially at the worst times such as when a storm is coming or has arrived. Do all fellow boaters a favor and get one! I especially like to purchase MADE IN THE USA BY A TRUSTWORTHY COMPANY!

    Get on and off the boat ramp quick… easy to install and works like a second person. I can unload and load my boat quicker than ever with just myself. Quality product with all hardware included easy install. If you install this with boat on the trailer PLEASE put a jack under the hull of the boat and lift slightly so the winch stand doesn’t push forward from the weight of the boat on it. I learned the hard way because instructions say don’t jack up boat. Well winch stand slid forward hitting me in the collarbone and jaw knocking me off the tongue of the trailer… no fault but my own.. lol Great product..

    In regards to performances, I absolutely love it! Before I would drive it on and sometimes it would slip back off the roller depending on the angle of the ramp and how far I backed in the trailer. Now, just drive it up and it will click and lock, then you are done and can quickly run up and get off the bow of the boat without worrying about the boat sliding back down. Once you jump off, you don’t need to tie up the boat right there while you are still in the water ( I have to bend over and reach the cable and winch connector while balancing on the trailer- it is not impossible but difficult). Just jump off the bow and motor up onto dry land and attached your winch and emergency cable with ease standing up! Really makes a big difference when you are by yourself, old, or have a rookie with you who can’t help much.

    This weekend I have a couple watching load my 22” defiance back on the trailer. Since the latch is lower I had to throttle more than some boats. They laughed at me in the beginning and once they seen the boat latched on this was amazed.     Well I have had it installed for several trips now and I can say without a doubt it was a Great Investment and Improvement for my boat.
    I have the Sport L Model. I use a Clip on a rope with a 1/2” nut for a weight on the other end.
    After I have backed the boat in far enough to float and the motor running, I walk up on the deck, pull the rope, then toss it into the truck bed.
    Simple and Easy.
    I then remove the rope when parking the rig and place it where I keep it for the next time.
    Loading is super easy. Just set the trailer to the right depth and drive the boat on. Hear that CLICK and you know it’s Locked On!!
    Love it and highly recommended one for Anyone that fishes alone or with a partner.

    Installed yesterday at a steep ramp.
    Works well. Should work even easier on a normal not so steep boat ramp. Had to add a circular heavy duty clip to be able to connect safety chain as my eye bolt on the boat was not quite big enough to handle all three things. Boat 2 trailer, strap hook and safety chain. Other than that looking forward to using it more. Well built product. This is on a 24 foot proline bay boat. Boat, motor and fuel approximately 3800 pounds.

    Just sharing my experience. My wife (a gem) got this for me on Valentines Day this year. I boat solo most of the time (20′ Blue Wave center console bay boat), and loading was always a hassle because of the ramp angle and hull design. I’d have to motor onto the trailer up to the trailer winch, leave the motor throttled up, climb down off the bow, attach the winch hook, winch it tight, crawl back over the bow and throttle down. I’ve tried loading with the trailer at many depths, and this was simply the only way. I put this thing on at the ramp my next outing (10 minute installation at most), and my solo boating life was changed forever. For the better, obviously. I HIGHLY recommend this thing for solo boaters who have trouble loading.

    My purchase of a B2T Sport was very fortuitous. No sooner had I got mine installed, adjusted with locks and bow eye extension that I experienced a catastrophic back injury. It is totally unrelated to the product save the fortuitous part. Becase of the injury I cannot boat nor trailer.     I have launched and loaded 40+ times and trailered couple thousand miles with a Ramp Clamp Sport short handle. Wanted to give it a fair rating after a lot of use. I am very pleased so far with quality of the pad. I had the other brand on my last 621 and it caused significant wear damage. No damage with the Ramp N Clamp. Loading with the Ramp N Clamp is easy. I fish a lot by myself and appreciate how easily it latches. My only negative is unloading. On ramps I have used I cannot get the short arm to release when trailer is in the water. I have to release on ramp before backing in. Need to experiment more with trailer depth to see if I can release on water with trailer deeper. Final comment is on service…… their service is 5 star+. Had a question on Memorial Day Wkend and called. Didn’t expect an answer….. talked to the owner and he helped me.

    Fastest launching / hauling out I’ve ever experienced! The key is knowing your trailer depth – for the 4runner and an 18″ ski boat, just before the rear bumper hits the water – and then you power on with the propeller just a bit. Perfect gentle click and a no brainer. Will be adding side-fenders to the trailer to keep it straight for the windy days. Recommending this to everyone with a boat! (Better quality standards than the competition btw).

    I am a 72 year old fishing guide and I also fish a lot by myself. I put the sport model on my trailer this morning. Had to put the boat in the water to do it . Installation was easy I just had to use one of the other holes than the one they recommend because of the trailer. Backed the trailer into the water and loaded up the boat. Everything worked as stated on their web site. While I was installing it another boater asked me what I was doing and I explained the product to him. He waited to watch me load the boat and was so impressed he asked me the name of it so I gave him the business card that came in the packaging. I’m sure he’ll be purchasing one soon.     Purchased for my 2002 Ranger 185vs. It did take a second to get used to especially on a super steep ramp but I will be buying these for every future boat I buy right off the bat. This is a necessity especially in the tournament world, unlatch and go or drive on the trailer and out of the water. Fantastic invention!

    I have only had the chance to put the boat on the water once since getting the Sport short handle version. Easy to install. Had to use one of the alternate holes as it would not fit on my winch stand at the primary hole. Also had to get the winch adapter. Unloading was quick and easy. Loading was quick, but needed to adjust the trailer depth. The ramp I used is “flat” compared to some, so I had to go a little deeper to get the boat on the trailer. No wet feet, no winching the last few inches. As with any new piece of equipment, there will be a learning curve to get the trailer at the right depth. I like it! Don’t know why I waited so long to pull the trigger on this purchase.
