PLEASE REFERENCE THE PHOTOS ABOVE. The pitch of the clamp will tell you everything you need to know about adjusting the height of the winch stand. PHOTO 1 When sitting on level land if the clamp is locked in and sits parallel to the bow. It Is at the correct height. PHOTO 2 You will notice a Gap between the bow and the polyurethane at the bottom. This means the height is probably too low, Unless there is allot of pressure on the eye of the boat pulling down, then the weight of the boat is on the clamp and is is too high. PHOTO 3. If there is a gap between the bow of the boat and the poly at the TOP, Then this means you must raise your winch stand Up. The clamp is set too low.

1. Remove Boat From Trailer OR…
   1. Roller Trailer: You can push the boat back on the trailer to access the roller. (Leave safety chain on)
   2. Bunk Trailer: You can slide the winch post forward (toward the truck) to access the roller. (Do NOT jack the boat up.)
   3. Shave down the sharp edges on the mounting block above the eye. (See video)

2. Remove the front bow stop or roller from the trailer.

3. Install aluminum eye adaptor.

1. Slide the winch stand forward on the trailer/ OR float the boat and push the boat back about 12 inches to gain access to the eye.
2. Slide the adaptor over aluminum eye.
3. Add the nut to both bolts. DO NOT over tighten the nut. Only 18 – 20 ft. lbs needed. If you overtighten you will gall the stainless bolts and not be able to remove.

4. Install roller on front bracket. (some units may have this already installed)

5. Install boat latch on mounting bracket of the winch stand.

1. Try to use the hole closest to the polyurethane.
2. If you DO NOT have adjustments on your winch stand – Use bottom Hole
3. Do not tighten yet.

6. Adjust angle to line up with the bow of the boat before tightening.

Tighten bolt “snug” so the latch can pivot. 20 – 24ft lbs recommended. DO not over tighten and do not leave sloppy loose. Crank in or slowly drive into the latch to lock.

7. Short handle Model interchangeable Options. (Both are included with purchase of short handle model)

Long handle Model. (Extension included with purchase of long handle model)
