The Model L Gen 2 is designed to mount on a 3′ – 4.5″ wide roller bracket and specifically to work with an aluminum boat that has a thick mounting plate directly above the eye. The polyurethane has a wide gap or channel for the thick plate to pass through. The Model L Gen 2 is for Aluminum LUND, ALUMACRAFT and any other aluminum boat that has this thick mounting plate. The polyurethane is engineered to fit snug around the mounting plate above the eye of the boat. This creates a tight fit between your eye and your boat. When you create a tight fit this allows the least amount of play when loading and traveling. This is extremely important when it comes to protecting the boat. You do NOT want a loose fit or it will create pressure points, bouncing or damaging wear points on the boat. Our design helps to combat this issue and protect your boat.
