The Boat2Trailer Model T Short Handle works on a boat that has an aluminum bow eye. It mounts on a 3″ – 4.5″ wide roller bracket. Commonly found on Tracker boats and newer Ranger aluminum boats. The Model T comes with a stainless steel adaptor to protect your aluminum eye. ANY boat latch will do damage to your aluminum eye. This adaptor solves the issue. Please review step 1 – 3 before ordering.

Description

The Boat2Trailer Model T Short Handle is designed specifically to work with a boat that has a thick aluminum eye. This model will come with a stainless steel adaptor to PROTECT YOUR ALUMINUM EYE. You DO NOT want steel clamping directly on to an aluminum surface. Over time this will cause wear on your eye and damage the integrity of the aluminum. Our patent pending adaptor protects your eye. Simply slide the adaptor over the aluminum eye and bolt it on. No drilling is required. Our clamp is designed to lock on to our steel adaptor. There are a few patterns on the adaptor to compensate for location and placement of the bolts. The correct holes for each eye will be highlighted in the instructions. The clamp mounts on a 3″ – 4.5″ wide roller bracket. The polyurethane has a wide gap or channel for the adaptor to pass through. The Boat2Trailer Model T Long Handle is for an Aluminum Tracker, Aluminum Ranger, Hewescraft, Alumaweld and any other boats that have the exact aluminum eye in our diagram. The adaptor is not sold separately for any other use than with the clamp we offer.

    Love this boat to trailer. Simple to install I just floated my boat. Took off roller and installed the catch, pulled the boat up by hand it caught the very first time. I insured the plate was flush against the boat and finished tighten it down. I have the long handle. What I like about is you don’t have to remove the handle when traveling. NOT LIKE DROTTO.

    Although we haven’t been able to take it out yet to really try it out so far we are very happy with everything. We have got everything installed and it works great in the dry. Can’t wait for it to warm up so we can go fishing again and try it out. I would also recommend anyone who buys one to also get the anti theft protection lock otherwise it will be so simple for someone to come and take it off while your out fishing.

    Hello Rob, I spoke to you back in December about the Ramp n Clamp I received for Christmas. You helped me mount the bow eye properly and how to make the proper adjustments.  We’ll, I’m happy to tell you it worked perfectly on my Hewes Sportsman 160. What a life saver not having to walk in 36 degree water to attach the winch strap. We’re very happy with it.

    Installed a Ramp n’ Clamp Model T on an EZ Loader trailer for a Kingfisher boat. The aluminum bow eye on the Kingfisher is not exactly like the models referenced in the catalog, but there was plenty of free real estate to drill the eye to accommodate the Model T adapter. It works great and completely amazed my buddies at the ramp. Made loading during flood conditions a breeze!
