The Boat2Trailer Model T Short Handle is designed specifically to work with a boat that has a thick aluminum eye. This model will come with a stainless steel adaptor to PROTECT YOUR ALUMINUM EYE. You DO NOT want steel clamping directly on to an aluminum surface. Over time this will cause wear on your eye and damage the integrity of the aluminum. Our patent pending adaptor protects your eye. Simply slide the adaptor over the aluminum eye and bolt it on. No drilling is required. Our clamp is designed to lock on to our steel adaptor. There are a few patterns on the adaptor to compensate for location and placement of the bolts. The correct holes for each eye will be highlighted in the instructions. The clamp mounts on a 3″ – 4.5″ wide roller bracket. The polyurethane has a wide gap or channel for the adaptor to pass through. The Boat2Trailer Model T Long Handle is for an Aluminum Tracker, Aluminum Ranger, Hewescraft, Alumaweld and any other boats that have the exact aluminum eye in our diagram. The adaptor is not sold separately for any other use than with the clamp we offer.
