The boat buddy was around for many years, but seems to have been recently pulled from production. The Boat Latch on Boat2Trailer is a stainless steel latching system that bow roller replacement for your trailer. If you are looking to replace your boat buddy simply remove the boat buddy and install the latch from Boat2Trailer in its place. The boat buddy had used a spring loaded pin that shot into the eye to lock the boat. The Ramp N Clamp has a stainless steel clamp that automatically snaps shut when the eye of the boat contacts it. Another key factor to note is unlike the boat buddy, the Ramp N Clamp does not require any resetting after loading or unloading the boat. It basically sets and resets itself automatically. The Ramp N Clamp also has an easy release handle to release the boat. You may reach from inside of the boat, pull the handle and launch the boat with ease.

The boat buddy was less expensive than the Ramp N Clamp, but the Ramp N Clamp is stainless steel and incredibly durable. The boat buddy was mainly constructed of plastic and a steel pin. We at Boat2trailer took on the Ramp N Clamp latch because of the quality, durability and usability of the product.

I have a heavy 20' center console boat that I'm launching and loading by myself most of the time. This product has made launch and load a very simple process. I wish I purchased it years ago.

So glad I decided to buy the Boat2trailer hitch. Fast shipping, easy install, works like a dream. I get some looks when I'm ready to leave the boat ramp quicker than others around me. Best investment! Looking forward to more trips to the lake this year.

I have a Tracker Bass boat. I go fishing by myself. The model T made loading my boat very easy! No more laying on my stomach to latch my strap! Now I just click and jump in the back of my truck, safely pull my boat fully out, hook the ratchet strap and off I go!The model T is a must!!!!

This automatic boat hitch is super. Strong, secure, consistent, easy to use and install. So glad I got it.

Just installed this. Very simple to install and worked great the first try. Very impressed.

I literally put it on in 10 minutes at the boat ramp parking lot. I am not kidding it was so easy. I thought surely I am doing something wrong. Lol I was scared to use it. It works so good. I can't believe I waited this long to buy this product. I load and unload my boat alone 99% of the time. You will not be sorry. I bought the Sport model with short handle and put it on a 1996 Ranger bass boat. The black marks on the boat are from the original roller I had on the boat not the boat2trailer system. I can't say enough good things about this product.

Installed yesterday at a steep ramp.Works well. Should work even easier on a normal not so steep boat ramp. Had to add a circular heavy duty clip to be able to connect safety chain as my eye bolt on the boat was not quite big enough to handle all three things. Boat 2 trailer, strap hook and safety chain. Other than that looking forward to using it more. Well built product. This is on a 24 foot proline bay boat. Boat, motor and fuel approximately 3800 pounds.

Easy to install and easier to use. I don’t get out of the boat to attach the winch line. Just drive up slowly until you hear a click, that’s it.

If you own a boat you need one of these! No more getting your feet wet fooling with the wench. You are literally in and out of the water in seconds! When putting on the trailer it pretty much guides the boat in position and you hear a click. Trim up drive off. As far as the installation goes Stevie Wonder could do it in the dark it's that easy. Do yourself a favor and get one! Worth every penny trust me!!

Wish I’d known about this years ago!I’m 68 & tournament Bass fish, & this is soconvenient & simple. I installed it myself at the ramp in about 5 minutes. Worth every penny!

Bought the Sport long handle for my 2016 Triton 20TRX. Installation took 15 minutes after I launched the boat. Reloaded, launched with Boat2Trailer attached without a problem. I fish alone and this is going to make loading and unloading simple for this old guy. Wish I had known this sooner

Shipping was fast ... Did a good job. Product seems good. Only 3 stars because I have not yet proven ... but I WILL, in the spring.Sorry for the delay - No complaints. It's all good!!!

I fish alone a lot, at 70 it defiantly makes life easier. I added the guide on made out of a piece of 1/2" Waterline in front of the sport model on Xpress H18C. Very happy with it. Perhaps a better guide on is available but this set up is durable.
