Automatic Boat Loader

This automatic boat loader can be found on Boat2Trailer.com. Here is a demonstration video of how the automatic boat loader works.

You can simply pull your boat into the loading area, dock, beach etc. Tie off or secure your boat to a solid structure. Once the boat is secure, you may exit the boat and walk to your vehicle and trailer. Back your trailer into the water to the desired depth. Put the vehicle in park and exit the vehicle.

Automatic Boat Loader Approach

Now you may get back into the boat, back up and proceed to load the boat on to the trailer. Bring the boat in just above idle speed. There is no need to race the motor if your speed is correct. As the boat coasts up the trailer your nose will come in contact with the automatic boat loader. The plastic on the automatic boat loader helps guide the boat and bow eye to the center of the auto boat loader. Once the bow eye comes in contact with the jaws of the automatic boat loader, they will automatically snap shut and secure your boat to the trailer. When you hear the click and feel the automatic boat loader has secured your boat, you may exit the boat. Enter the vehicle and proceed to the dry water’s edge. Park the vehicle, walk to the front of the boat, and secure your strap and chain for safety. You do not want to travel with only the automatic boat loader hooked up. Definitely have your safety chain, strap and the automatic boat loader all secured before travel. Now you have successfully loaded your boat using the automatic boat loader found on Boat2Trailer.com. Works like a dream. As others have mentioned it pulled my Competitor 165 forward a couple of inches but I loosened the winch stand and slid it forward to compensate.

This a 5 star just on customer service alone. I placed my order late on Saturday afternoon and had a question afterwards. I sent email later that night and had a positive response back on Sunday morning!! WHO DOES THAT?!? I'm counting on the latch working just as well !

I fish with my 9 year old son 99% of the time so it is just me launching and loading. However, I had rotator cuff surgery on my dominant arm in March. Trying to reach over and hook up is extremely painful for me and trying to do it standing to the trailer is impossible with my range of motion. I showed this to my wife and she ordered it for Father's Day.

I took the boat out yesterday and installed it. I have a Phoenix Bass Boat with a 4" roller so we had to go with the 3 3/4" version and I added washers to each side so it was centered. The install went smooth and took about 10 minutes. Just as side note if you have a 4" roller you will likely need to used the same bolt that is currently on your trailer's roller. I caught this before the install so it was not a big deal. I got the master lock so the bolt that came with it would not work for sure.

Yesterday was a windy day once we got back from fishing we had some water skiers and strong wind making for challenging loading conditions and this think worked like a champ. It will cut minutes off of launching and loading you boat.

I absolutely love this device. I have had both knees replaced and it was very hard for me to go fishing by myself but this device has given me the freedom I was looking for. I have friends that are talking about getting this device. Thank you Boat2Trailer Drotto Boat Latch.

Only thing that could make it easier to loadout would be a chauffeur! Makes loading out easy peasy.

The latch works as advertised. Would have given it five stars but it set my boat back about 4 inches on the trailer (Lund boat & shorelander trailer). I will have to figure out a bracket for rear tie downs. I have a swing away hitch so can not move my front post foreward. Perhaps Drotto could figure that out & and market them.

With all of the tech on my boat, this is by far the most efficient, easiest installing and extraordinarily convenient feature on my boat or trailer. 1 bolt install, 3 if you install the handle and has made loading and unloading my boat a joy. Made loading a breeze just this weekend at a busy ramp, in rough water and wind. Buy it, I'd be shocked if you ever regret it.

Absolutely a great product and customer service. I added this for my 18' bow rider and trailer and it works great! Boat2Trailer delivered it on time (early actually) and provided great support when I had a question. Everyone should have this for their boat!

Took a little bit of work to get it installed the way I needed it because of the design of my Stratos trailer. But working great. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. Five stars for sure.
